Guatemala Fairtrade Organic AAPICAFE Cooperative 454 g
The location of the coop is in the heart of the growing areas in Huehuetenango. From the City of Huehue it takes about 2 hours to get to the down and requires a 4x4 truck. Using the word rough to describe the road is an understatement.
The average farm size in the region is about 1 hectare.
As the coop is on a slightly north facing side of the range the cool nights mean that the coffee is fermented for longer periods of time ranging up to 48 hours.
Huehuetenango enjoys high altitude, rich volcanic soils and abundant rainfall creating the perfect environment for world class coffee in the hands of a world class coffee roaster. This coffee has very balanced acidity and mild cocoa aroma. Sweet pears, honey with fruity acidity. Juicy aftertaste.
Produced 1500-1800 metres above sea level and harvested from October to March.
Come visit us at our Roastery on Progress Avenue and see our coffee roaster and breath in the fragrance of fresh coffee that surrounds you.
