Always fresh from the coffee roaster, our most popular dark roast is roasted just to second crack (the second time the bean pops and expands in the roaster) indicating a dark roast. We stop the roast very quickly so the smooth, dark and sweet character makes it into the cup.
Knowing how to roast a coffee dark to enhance flavour is a rare skill among coffee roasters. Many roasters with limited experience roast all coffee light with no regard to where the coffee needs to be roasted. We know which coffees need to be roasted light, and which dark. Enjoy!
