Overview: Sourced from the Koperasi Gayo Nusantara (KGN) in the Gayo Highlands, this 100% organic coffee is a true expression of the Sumatran landscape. Owing to traditional processing, it delivers an earthy and sometimes pungent profile early in the crop year.

Origin Details: Produced by smallholder farmers in the Aceh Province, this cooperative is unique for maintaining unity among diverse ethnic groups, including the Gayo, Javanese, and Acehnese tribes, with 30% women membership. Farming on the buffer zones of Gunung Leuser National Park, members prioritize the conservation of endangered Sumatran tiger and orangutan habitats by using compost over chemical fertilizers and maintaining shade-grown nurseries.
